But now, the fatwa - without its authority - has become a source of unrest and turmoil, and has become a source of conflicts and even trembling (and terrorism).
Accordingly, the need is now greater than before to form educational institutions specialized in fatwa, and calls for this matter have become louder all over the world, and this has been strongly demonstrated in:“The global conference held by the International Center for Moderation in the State of Kuwait under the title “Fatwa Methodology in an Open World: The Present Reality and the Expected Hope” in the period from 9 to 11 Jumada al-Awwal 1428 AH, corresponding to May 26-28, 2007 AD.”The Egyptian Fatwa House responded to these demands and calls, with its honorable history, and provided honesty in issuing fatwas to people, as a contribution to the fight against extremism, and assistance in eliminating the extremism that is unjustly attributed to Islam, and which offends and repulses it.
